| Abstract | Dům k pronajmutí je příběhem, který se odehrává uvnitř prostoru jediného domu. Staré vily, kterou politická mašinérie v 50.letech rozdělila mezi dvě rodiny s odlišnými politickými preferencemi. Obě rodiny po mnoho let slyšely skrze zdi svoje hlasy i kroky a čichaly vůně jídel ze svých kuchyní. Ve skutečnosti toho však o sobě navzájem věděly více ve svých představách než z letmých a mlčenlivých setkání na společných chodbách a zahradě domu. Dívka, její matka a stárnoucí dědeček, bývalý veterán ze západní fronty. Všichni vnímali minulost a své nechtěné sousedy po svém. O několik let později, kdy dům zůstal téměř prázdný, už minulost nechce hrát dál svou tíživou roli. Vzpomínky se mísí s představami a zbývá jediné. Zbavit se stínů, které vyplnily dům i duše hlavních hrdinů, aby jedni mohli začít novou kapitolu ve své historii a ti druzí mohli odpočívat v pokoji. |
| Translation of abstract | The House for Rent brings a story which takes place within the space of one house. The old mansion was divided by communist régime in the 50-ties into two halves, between two families with different political preferences. Althought they were hearing each other´s voices and steps and smelling the scent of their meals for many years, in reality they knew more about each other in their imagination than by passing silent meetings in the hall and in the garden of the house. The girl, her mother and the ageing grandfather, Western front fighter. They all had their own image of the past and of their unvoluntary neighbours. As the years went by, the house remained almost empty. The recollection and imagination melt together and there is only one task floating in the air. To get rid of the shadows that filled the house and the souls of the main characters, so the living ones could start new chapter of their own history and the others could rest in peace. |
