| Abstract | Etické principy filmového restaurování představují komplexní problematiku, která nikdy nebyla plně uspokojivě vyřešena. Tuto situaci v posledních desetiletích ještě zkomplikoval nástup digitálních technologií, které sice umožňují překonat limity fotografického média, ale s novými možnostmi se naléhavěji projevila absence široce přijímaných etických principů, které by proces filmového restaurování zasadily do obecnějšího teoretického rámce. Tato diplomová práce se zabývá základními restaurátorskými principy (autenticita, reverzibilita a transparentnost) a možností jejich aplikace na filmové restaurování. Současně zohledňuje transformaci archivní a restaurátorské praxe v digitální éře a soustředí se na některé etické otázky, které se objevují v souvislosti s rozšířením digitálních technologií v tomto oboru. Práce však nenabízí jednoznačné řešení problémů diskutovaných po desetiletí, ale spíše nabízí možná hlediska na vybrané etické principy a otevírá prostor k dalším úvahám či diskuzím. |
| Translation of abstract | The ethical principles of film restoration pose a complex problem which has never been satisfactorily resolved. In the past few decades, the situation has become even more complicated due to the advent of digital technologies that are capable of overcoming the limitations of the photographic medium on the one hand; on the other hand, the new possibilities highlighted the lack of widely accepted ethical principles that would set the film restoration process into a more general theoretical framework. This diploma thesis deals with the basic principles of restoration (authenticity, reversibility and transparency) and the possibility of their application in film restoration. At the same time, it considers the transformation of archiving and restoration practice in the digital age and focuses on some ethical issues emerging in connection with the spread of digital technologies in this field. The thesis, however, does not present an unequivocal solution to the problems that have been discussed for decades; rather, it suggests possible points of view on selected ethical principles and provides space for further analyses or discussions. |
