| Abstract | Předkládaná diplomová práce se zabývá konceptem výtvarného návrhu nezrealizovaného scénáře s názvem „The Seer“ autorů Miy Frank a Harryho Winera, který pojednává o životě řeckého filosofa Pythagora. Cílem práce je vytvořit prostředí pro výše uvedený film tak, aby byl na plátně představen antický svět, který bude jednak autentický, a zároveň dokáže zaujmout co nejširší okruh diváků. Toho by mělo být dosaženo především využitím historických pramenů a srovnáním s jinými, již realizovanými filmy, které se odehrávají ve stejném historickém období. Práce je tak rozdělena na dvě části. Teoretická práce nastiňuje vývoj žánru historického filmu od počátků kinematografie po současnost, standardy i technické inovace, které nabízejí současné technologie. Tato část práce dále analyzuje pět filmových adaptací, které podrobněji ilustrují tento rozvoj. Praktickou část tvoří vlastní výtvarná koncepce k vybranému scénáři. Jsou zde vyjmenovaná historická fakta a údaje, z nichž jsem při zpracování návrhů vycházela. Následuje samotný grafický scénosled scénáře. |
| Translation of abstract | This thesis presents a concept of visual design to the unrealized script of „The Seer“ by Mia Frank and Harry Winer which focuses in the life of a Greek philosopher Pythagoras. The intention of this thesis is to create an environment for the film so that the screen would show an ancient world that would be authentic and at the same time captivating for as wide an audience as possible. This goal is to be achieved by using historical sources and comparison with other realised films that are set in the same period of history. The thesis is accordingly split into two parts. The theoretical part outlines the evolution of the historical film genre since the beginnings of the cinema to the present, its standards and technical innovations that come with modern technology. This part of the thesis also analyses five historical films that serve as examples of the development. The practical part consists of the visual design to the selected script itself. It states the historical facts and data used as a basis for creating the designs. The visual breakdown itself follows. |
