| Abstract | Danica Kovačević se ve svém diplomovém výstavním souboru zabývá portréty cizinců žijících v Čechách, jelikož autorka sama pochází z ciziny, ale žije v Praze třetinu svého života. Název souboru MessAge má dva významy: zpráva, nebo sdělení a zmatený věk. Oba jsou správné a nesou základní myšlenku souboru. Soubor vypráví o zkušenostech, dobrých a špatných. Zároveň má ambice probouzet v lidech otázky, uvědomit si alespoň na okamžik sebe sama i své okolí a konfrontovat se s ním. Soubor je rozdělený na dvě častí, první jsou barevné portréty ve formátu 25x25 cm a druhá jsou ilustrace příběhů vyprávějícich, barevné fotografie ve formátu 25x20cm. Vše je vytištěné technologií inkjet. Součástí souboru je i text, vypovědi portrétovaných, kteří nám sdělují svoje vnímáni okolí, ve kterém se snaží i přes svoje rozdíly zapadnout. |
| Translation of abstract | In her exhibition collection, Danica Kovacevic focuses on portraits of foreigners living in the Czech Repiblic, as the author herself comes from abroad, although she has spent one third of her lifetime in Prague. The name of the collection, MessAge, has two meanings: a message or confused times, but both are correct and convey the basic idea of the collection. The collection recounts experiences, good and bad. It also has the ambition of raising questions, making people aware of themselves and their surroundings and confronting both, if only for a brief moment. The collection consists of two parts, the first one being color portraits in 25x25 cm format, the second being color photographies in 25x20 cm format, illustrating the stories of the interviewed people. All have been printed by inkjet technology. Testimonies of the portraited people, who tell us how they percieve their surroundings and how they are trying to fit in despite being different, are also part of the collection. |
