| Abstract | Tato práce se zabývá klíčovými rysy hry vybraných exemplárních pianistů a snaží se je vysvětlit jak z hudebního hlediska ve smyslu melodie, harmonie a rytmu, tak i z hlediska širšího kontextu, jako například etnického, geografického, věkového nebo žánrového. Skládá se ze dvou částí – teoretické a praktické. Teoretická část rozebírá jednotlivé osobnosti z hlediska celku, jejich původu, hudebního vzdělání a zázemí, dosavadní práce a cílů. Pokusí se je pojmout v obecných souvislostech či naopak upozornit na případné odlišnosti. Také se stručně dotkne tématu vymezení hranic jazzu. Praktická část se věnuje analýze hry na základě transkribovaných ukázek improvizací, doprovodů, témat a harmonických postupů. Upozorňuje na zajímavosti, poukazuje na originalitu, variabilitu a zkoumá hudební identitu jednotlivých pianistů. Cílem této práce je zjistit, jak dnešní pianisté hrají a co činí jejich styl současným. Dalším cílem je zjistit, do jaké míry snadná informační dostupnost ubírá na vlastní identitě a do jaké míry ji naopak posiluje. |
| Translation of abstract | The thesis describes main features of playing of the chosen pianists and tries to explain them from the musical point of view (in terms of melody, harmony and rhythm) as well as from the wider context like ethnic, geographic, age or genre. It consists of two parts – theoretical and practical. The theoretical part analyses particular musicians considering the aspects of complexity, origins, musical background, education, work and goals. It tries to take it in general relations or to point out possible differences on the other hand. The theoretical part slightly refers to the „jazz as the name of the music style“ issue as well. The practical part is the analysis based on improvisation, comping, theme and harmonic progress examples transcribed. It highlights the interesting moments, originality, variability and search for the music identity of each pianist. The main goal of the thesis is to find out how contemporary pianists play and what makes their style to be contemporary. The next goal is to find out if the genre overlaps and information availability keep their own identity down or if it helps to develop it on the other hand. |
