AbstractTato bakalářská práce se zabývá osobností britského hudebníka Cecila Forsytha a jeho tvorbou. V první části se dozvídáme něco o jeho životě, kde žil, působil, co a kdy zkomponoval a čím přispěl do violového repertoáru. Neměla by se opomenout ani jeho publikace Orchestration, která má velký vliv co se týče dnešního pojetí orchestrace. V druhé části se zabývá analýzou samotného díla – Koncert pro violu a orchestr G moll. A v závěrečné kapitole se zaobírá porovnáním interpretačních nahrávek dvou velmi známých violistů, o kterých se také zmíní.
Translation of abstractThis bachelor thesis deals with the personality of British musician Cecil Forsyth and his work. In the first part we learn about his life, where he lived, he worked what and when he composed and contributed to the viola repertoire. Publication Orchestration, which has a great impact on today’s concept of orchestration, shouldn‘t be also ignored. The second part deals with the analysis of the work itself – Concerto for Viola and Orchestra G minor. And in the final chapter he deals with the comparison of interpretative recordings of two well-known violists, which he also mentions.
