| Abstract | Tato práce se zaměřuje na žánr koncertní předehry, a to především na ty autory, kteří se jako první zabývali její tvorbou a přispěli tak k jejímu rozvoji. Úvodní část práce utváří ucelený přehled o vývoji koncertní předehry jako samostatné skladby, a to od dob jejího vzniku v období raného romantismu až po autory 20. století. S ohledem na rozsah se tato práce soustředí zejména na předehry, které nebyly původně určeny pro jevištní produkci (operní předehry a předehry ke scénické hudbě jsou zde jen zmíněny). Hlavní část této práce je zaměřena na koncertní předehry F. Mendelssohna Bartholdyho, a to zejména na předehru „Pohádka o krásné Meluzíně“. Závěrečná část práce pojednává o koncertních předehrách Mendelssohnových současníků – F. Schuberta, R. Schumanna, C. M. Webera a také částečně H. Berlioze. |
| Translation of abstract | This thesis focuses on the concert overture as a musical genre, particularly on the composers who were the first to compose concert overtures and thus contributed to this genre’s development. The introductory part presents a comprehensive overview of the development of the concert overture as a independent concert piece, that is from the time of its conception in the early romantic era until the authors of the twentieth century. In regards to the extent of this thesis, the main focus is placed on the overtures primarily intended for concert performances (overtures as a part of incidental music are only mentioned). The main part of the thesis is focused on the concert overtures composed by F. Mendelssohn Bartholdy, particularly the on overture „Melusina, or the Mermaid and the Knight“. The final part of the thesis brings to light the concert overtures composed by Mendelssohn’s contemporaries – F. Schubert, R. Schumann, C. M. von Weber and partly also H. Berlioz. |
