| Abstract | The thesis aims to explore the relation between such notions as quality and cost in photography on the art market today by means of looking into it through historical background related to the topic, analysis of the notions of cost and value, their features, market mechanisms and tendencies and via practical analysis of the works of two most prominent artists: Andreas Gursky and Cindy Sherman. |
