| Abstract | V svojej práci sa venujem roli fotografie v klubovej scéne orientovanej na elektronickú tanečnú hudbu. V práci zhrňujem historický kontext vývoja klubovej scény ako aj najvýraznejších fotografov, ktorí scénu dokumentovali a interpretovali. Ďalej sa venujem umelcom, ktorí túto tému spracovávali v svojej práci s využitím fotografického média. V druhej časti pomocou literatúry, internetových zdrojov a dotazníkov popisujem praktiky štyroch nočných klubov, v ktorých je fotografovanie zakazované alebo obmedzované. Venujem sa tomu akým spôsobom kluby tento zákaz uplatňujú a aké na to majú dôvody. V záverečnej časti tieto dôvody zhŕňam a snažím sa vyvodiť čím je v tomto kontexte fotografia problematická. Cieľom práce je odpozorovať vplyv fotografie na klubovú scénu, ako na fotografiu kluby reagujú, a čo to vypovedá o fotografickom médiu samotnom. |
| Translation of abstract | In my diploma thesis I study the role of photography in the elecronic dance music scene. In the work I summarize the historical context of the club scene and the photographers who had documented and interpreted it. Then I address artists, who thematize clubbing in their artistic practice through the photographic medium. In the second part I describe the practice of 4 nightclubs, who restrict or ban taking photographs in their spaces, with the help of literature, online sources and with the questionnaires I have asked them to fill. I am interested in their ways of enforcing these restrictions and their reasons to do so. In the final part I summarize these reasons and I try to draw the conclusion about the problems which photography brings into this context. The aim of the thesis is to observe the impact of photography on the club scene, clubs’ reaction on the photography, and what it tells us about the photographic medium itself. |
