| Abstract | Ústředním tématem této diplomové práce je postava nejdéle sloužícího ředitele Národního divadla Gustava Schmoranze a postavení naší první divadelní scény v přelomovém období před první světovou válkou, v době válečné krize a během prvních let samostatného československého státu. Tato práce se dále dotýká celkového politického, sociálního a hospodářského klimatu v první polovině dvacátého století, kdy se v Praze konstituovala síť kamenných divadel tak, jak ji známe dnes, a kdy se rodila řada producentských rozhodnutí a postojů, které ovlivnily divadelní život metropole na celé 20. století a de facto do dnes. |
| Translation of abstract | This thesis focuses on the longest serving director of the National Theatre Gustav Schmoranz and the status of our first theatre scene in the turning point before the First World War, during the war crisis and during the first years of the independent Czechoslovakia. Furthermore, the theses touches the overall political, social and economic climate of the first half of the 20th century, during which the Prague theaters´ network as we know it today was constituted, a number of producer decisions made, and attitudes born which were influencing the theatrical life of the metropolis throughout the 20th century, and de facto influence it until today. |
