| Abstract | Ve svojí bakalářské práci budu zkoumat vnitřní stavbu několika filmů, jejichž tématem je cesta hlavní/ho hrdiny/ky k sobě samé/mu – hledání svobody, naplnění a odpovědí na palčivé otázky je(jí)ho života. Ráda bych zjistila, za jakých okolností může být struktura monomýtu, jak ji definoval Joseph Campbell ve svojí slavné knize Tisíc tváří hrdiny, funkční oporou i ve vyprávěních, která nejsou tak epická jako pohádky, hrdinské eposy, fantasy a další příběhy, pro něž je tato struktura typická. Budu analyzovat filmy Absolvent, Erin Brockovich, Útěk do divočiny, Sufražetka a Nadějná mladá žena. |
| Translation of abstract | In my bachelor thesis I´m intending to analyze the internal structure of several films, whose theme is the inner journey of the main character – he/she is searching for freedom, fulfillment and answers for the important questions of his/her life. I´d like to find out, under what circumstances can the structure of the monomyth – as defined by Joseph Campbell in his famous book The Hero With A Thousand Faces – be a functional support for the stories, which are not as epic as fairytales, heroic epics or fantasy movies and other stories, for which this structure is typical. I will analyze the following films – The Graduate, Erin Brockovich, Into The Wild, Suffragette and Promising Young Woman. |
