| Abstract | Dokumentární film o sochách ve veřejném prostoru. Zabývá se uměleckými díly vytvořenými v období 6o.tých až devadesátých let dvacátého století. Soustředí se na jejich současnou roli v městském prostředí a jejich smysl v tržně orientované společnosti. Obsahuje výpovědi tvůrců soch, významných současných umělců a také obyčejných lidí. |
| Translation of abstract | Documentary film about sculptures in inhabited environment. These have been made in the period of sixties to eighties of twentieth century by czech sculptors. They have been usually commisioned by communist regime and intended to show how cultural the society is, and it was also a good source of regular income for many of artists. These sculptures are abandoned now, partly destroyed and hidden in foliage. Some of them are very interesting, though. We have tried to find out their role in contemporary society and to show if they can mean something now. |
