| Abstract | DP popisuje současnou festivalovou scénu v ČR. Představuje největší a nejdůležitější filmové festivaly a přehlídky konané každoročně na území naší republiky. Popisuje jejich stručnou historii s důrazem na proměny a vývoj mezi jednotlivými ročníky. Dále se věnuje jejich programovému schématu a doprovodnému programu. U vybraných festivalů detailněji popisuje statistické údaje z ročníků konaných v letech 2004, 2005 a 2006. Další část popisuje formy společnosti organizujících filmové festivaly a přehlídky. Následuje kapitola popisující základní možnosti financování festivalů, především možnosti získání státních dotací a grantů a také využití mezinárodních podpůrných programů a fondů. Práce se ve své poslední části věnuje pohledu producenta na smysl existence filmových festivalů, výběru festivalové strategie a popisu cesty po festivalech několika konkrétních českých filmů různých žánrů. V závěru práce je zhodnocení současné festivalové situace a zhodnocení, jak producenti českých filmů využívají možností nabízených filmovými festivaly v České republice. |
| Translation of abstract | The following dissertation examines the current film festival scene in the Czech Republic. It presents the largest and the most importlant film festivals and notable screenings occurring yearly in the country. Further examining their respective histories and probing their progressions from year to vear. Additionally analyzing their organizational schemas and accompanying programs, supported by detailed statistics from 2004 to 2006 for selected festivals. Also discussed are forms of otganizational srtuctures and the professionals involved in film festivals and special screenings. Included are different types financing for film festivals, acquiring government subsidies and taking adventage of international programs and grants. A section is also devoted to a producerś perspective on the existence of film festivals, criteria on selecting festival strategies and detailing channels through which individual Czech film genres go through. In conclusion an assessment of the current situation of film festivals, and how producers of Czech films benefit from what film festivals in the Czech republic have to offer. |
