| Abstract | Zahraniční studie potvrzují, že ačkoliv je poměr absolventů a absolventek filmových škol přibližně stejný, filmů režírovaných ženami je výrazně méně. Ženy a muži nemají ve filmovém průmyslu stejné podmínky, a společnost tak přichází o příběhy vyprávěné z perspektivy žen. Jedním z významných faktorů v kariéře režisérek je míra podpory jejich tvůrčí činnosti po založení rodiny. Tato životní zkušenost proměňuje jejich pohled na svět i filmový průmysl. Některé ženy změní své životní priority a od tvorby upouští, v jiných mateřství akceleruje chuť a vůli se společensky angažovat. Na základě rozhovorů s aktivními režisérkami dokumentárních filmů, žijícími v České republice, jsou definovány výzvy, se kterými se režisérky potýkají v období raného rodičovství a rodičovské dovolené, a popsány jejich individuální strategie slaďování role umělkyně a matky. Záměrem práce je popsat možnosti podpory kariéry režisérek, iniciovat diskuzi a institucionální změnu. |
| Translation of abstract | Men and women do not face the same conditions in the film industry. Foreign studies confirm that although the ratio of male and female film school graduates is approximately the same, there are also significantly fewer films directed by women. Therefore, society is deprived of stories told from a female perspective. One of the key factors in the careers of female filmmakers is the level of support for their creative work after starting a family. This experience changes both their view of the world and the film industry. Some women change their priorities in life and leave the creative work behind, in others motherhood accelerates the desire and will to engage socially. Based on interviews with active female documentary film directors living in the Czech Republic, the challenges faced by female directors during the period of early parenthood and parental leave are defined and their individual strategies for reconciling the roles of artist and mother are described. The aim of this thesis is to describe the possibilites of supporting the careers of female directors, to initiate discussion and institutional change. |
