| Abstract | Cílem této diplomové práce je výtvarné zpracování filmu podle scénáře Michaela Chabona, The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay. Práce se skládá ze dvou částí, teoretické a praktické, tedy vlastního návrhu. Teoretická část se zabývá historií zlaté ery komiksu a filmovými adaptacemi komiksu. Podrobněji jsem se zaměřila na různé způsoby využití komiksových prvků ve filmu a výtvarné řešení filmových prostředí. Druhá část obsahuje rozvahu nad celkovým konceptem filmu The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay a konkrétní výtvarné řešení vybraných scén. |
| Translation of abstract | The aim of this diploma thesis is to create an art concept according to Michael Cabon’s feature film script „The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay“.This thesis consists of two parts, with the first one being of theoretic character and the second part showcasing my art concept. The theoretical part examines the history of the „Golden Era of Comics“ and further analizes multiple film adaptions of comics in general. I concentrate especially on the different uses of comic style elements in the films and their artistic depiction within the film environment. The second part contains the full art concept and execution plan of selected scenes for the feature film „The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay“ |
