| Abstract | Američan Robert Richardson jako jeden ze tří kameramanů na světě získal za svoji práci tři Oscary. Čtvrté toto ocenění už nikdo na světě z kameramanů zatím nemá. Tento úspěch mu přinesli dva režiséři, se kterými spolupracoval: Oliver Stone a Martin Scorsese. Quentin Tarantino patří k dalším režisérům, kteří mu přinášejí celosvětový úspěch a uznání od odborné veřejnosti. Filmy, které RR s nimi natočil, jsou hlavním tématem této diplomové práce. Kladla jsem mu otázky a on poctivě odpovídal. Tři roky jsme spolu vedli dialog i korespondenci o jeho odborných zkušenostech, postupech, názorech, ale i o jeho pocitech, vítězstvích a zklamáních. Závěr práce patří filmu A Private War (režie - Matthew Heineman), na kterém jsem v roce 2018 pracovala za třetí kamerou pod Richardsonovým vedením. Tématu této diplomové práci, které jsem si zvolila a bylo mi katedrou kamery FAMU schváleno, vděčím za to, že jsem mohla zblízka poznat osobnost tohoto významného kameramana. Bez FAMU bych nikdy Roberta Richardsona neoslovila. |
| Translation of abstract | Robert Richardson is an American cameraman, one of three in the world who has received three Oscars. Receiving four of these prizes has not been accomplished by any cameraman so far. This success arose out of his collaboration with two directors: Oliver Stone and Martin Scorsese. Another director collaboration with whom has brought RR international acclaim and acknowledgment from expert community is Quentin Tarantino. Movies which he shot with these three directors are the main subject matter of my thesis. I asked him questions which he dutifully answered. We held a three-year-long dialog and correspondence about his professional experiences, methods, opinions but also about his feelings, victories as well as disappointments. The conclusion of the thesis focuses on the movie A Private War (director – Matthew Heineman) during which I have in 2018 worked behind the third camera under the supervision of Richardson. Thanks to this thesis topic, which I have chosen and which has been approved by the Department of Camera at FAMU, I have gained an opportunity to get to know this influential cameraman personally. Without FAMU this would not have been possible. |
