| Abstract | Tato práce se snaží popsat současné možnosti distribuce českých dokumentárních filmů v kinech. Východiskem je popis modelu, jak kinodistribuce probíhá a shromážděná fakta a statistiky o návštěvnosti dokumentů v kinech v období let 2000-2013. Ty slouží k následné úvaze o potenciálu dokumentárních filmů v kinech, o možném přínosu filmových festivalů na cestě filmu k divákům a o tom, jaké dokumenty má vůbec smysl v kinech uvádět. Součástí práce je i případová studie a srovnání distribuce dvou dokumentárních filmů, které byly v českých kinech uvedeny v roce 2013 - filmů Show! a Šmejdi. Cílem je zamyšlení nad současným stavem a hledání možnosti, jak pozici dokumentárního filmu v rámci kinodistribuce zlepšit a také výhled do budoucna. |
| Translation of abstract | This thesis aims to describe the current theatrical distribution capabilities of Czech documentary films in cinemas. The starting point is the description of the model of a theatrical distribution on the Czech market and also collected facts and statistics about the attendance of documentaries in cinemas in the period of the years 2000-2013. These are used for subsequent consideration of the potential of documentary films in cinemas, on the possible benefits of film festivals on the way of the film to the audience and also on which films are suitable for distribution in cinemas. The work also includes a case study and comparison of the distribution of two documentary films that were shown in the Czech cinemas in 2013. The aim is to reflect on the current situation and to find ways to improve the position of documentary films in the context of theatrical distribution. Another objective is to outline future prospects. |
