| Abstract | "Jsem přesvědčen, že tanec a film jsou si souzeni. Nakonec - obojí je založeno na principu pohybu. Obojí je o aplikaci struktury na akci. Nebo, chcete-li - jak řekl Tarkovski - o sochaření v čase... Co je ve filmu vyjádřeno fyzicky je vždy silnější než to, co je vyjádřeno verbálně. Já považuji taneční film za čistou filmařinu. David Hinton je Britský režisér, který za své dokumentární filmy dvakrát získal cenu BAFTA awards. Za své taneční filmy získal např. Prix Italia, Emmy nebo IMZ Dance Screen Award. Ve své práci experimentuje také se střihovým filmem. Cílem práce je aplikovat Hintonovu teorii na jeho vlastní tvorbu a zanalyzovat taneční postupy, které ve svých filmech napříč žánry používá. Film jako tanec - střih jako choreografie. |
| Translation of abstract | "I believe that dance and film belong together. Both is based on movement and both is about aplication of structure to action. Or - as Tarkovski said - about sculpturing in time... It is more impressive when we express anything physically than verbally. I think dance film is clear filmmaking. And the most impressive one." David Hinton is a celebrated British film director who has twice won BAFTA awards for his documentaries. His dance films have also won many awards, including a Prix Italia, an Emmy and the IMZ Dance Screen Award. He also works with archive materials a lot. This thesis tries to apply his theory to his own work. It tries to analyze dance principles which he uses in his work through all genres. Film is a dance, editing is creating choreography. |
