| Abstract | Tato práce pojednává o hlavní postavě filmu Thelma Joachima Triera (2017). Pokouší se ji klasifikovat v rámci blíže specifikovaného hrdinského/anti-hrdinského spektra a zkoumá různé perspektivy, kterými můžeme nahlížet na hrdinu i vedlejší postavy této tragédie. Komentuje historický diskurz, který k rozlišení hrdiny a anti-hrdiny vedl, a na příkladu Homérovy Odyssey ukazuje, že takový vývoj charakteru se může měnit i díky novému čtení příběhu. Práce pak uzavírá své zkoumání shrnutím zkoumaných prvků, jako jsou tragičnost a fokus tragédie v rámci děje, pozice charakteru na kladném a záporném spektru a disonance, kterou takové umístění může divácky provokovat. |
| Translation of abstract | This thesis analyses the main character of the film Thelma (2017) by Joachim Trier. It attempts to classify its hero on the hero/anti-hero spectrum and tries to include different perceived perspectives which might be used for the main character analysis as well as the analysis of its side characters. It comments on the historical discourse which led to a distinction between the hero and anti-hero and on the example of Homer’s Odyssey it shows how this character change or rather its development can be made through a new reading of such a story. Thesis closes its analysis by a summary of its examinations; tragedy and the focus of such tragedy positioned in the story, characters placed on the positive-negative spectrum and dissonances which might emerge from such a distinction and dissonance for the audience as a result of such a dichotomy. |
